Hurghada Tourist Information and Red Sea Coast - The
city provides a gateway to prime diving sites throughout the
Red Sea. Its central location provides favourable access to
very famous dive sites. In addition, Hurghada is known for providing access to many
uninhabited offshore reefs and islands. Divers just look he
place.

Boat trips out to the coral reefs and islands like the Giftun,
are commonly sold all over Hurghada. Thanks to the condition
of the corals along the beaches, this seems to be the only
way to see colourful corals. Just like we see in the BBC nature
programmes.
Hotels are abundant, and Hurghada is presently suffering from under-capacity. Finding a hotel room in high season can be a problem. Hurghada has luckily all ranges of hotels, from the simple to the posh and expensive. In total, Hurghada could be well over 100 different hotels and growing.
Eating in Hurghada is by far best done in Ad-Dahar. In Sakkala reasonable prices and vast choice of food is readily available. In New Hurghada, few restaurants are found outside the hotels.

When you're not in the sea you can shop in the boutiques, relax in the luxury holiday villages or visit the Roman Mons Porphyrites (mountain of porphyry) remains at nearby Gebel Abu Dukhan (Father of Smoke). Day-trips or safaris to explore the Red Sea Mountains by camel or jeep are also available or head off to Luxor or Cairo.
